Giraffes can feed on the most thorny vegetation, even a knobthorn (which has nasty hook thorns) is not a problem. This is due to two major adaptation; a very muscular tongue with a minimal amount of blood vessels and saliva with antibiotic properties in order to heal quickly from wounds. Awesome!
