Intense is the best way to describe this black rhino bull. For people who don't know; a black rhino sighting can be a little tricky and you always need to be cautious when you approach them. Our friend in the photo was showing typical behavior for a young man. I didn’t see him in the thickets standing relatively close to us, but then he walked out and came to investigate. He then started to test me with small bursts forward, kicking up dusts and breathing heavily in the meantime. With this individual, who I know very well, he likes to come close before moving away.
